Kenny Reichert Trio
Thu, Aug 13

Recognized by DownBeat Magazine as “a distinctive player and composer,” Kenny Reichert is a guitarist whose music balances lyricism, harmonic depth, and a commitment to collective improvisation. His work has been praised by All About Jazz as “adventurous and deeply musical,” while Textura has noted the immediacy and lasting resonance of his compositions. Reichert’s writing and playing favor clarity and space, keeping the music open, direct, and honest.
A native of Wisconsin, Reichert has lived and worked in Milwaukee, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and Minneapolis. He currently serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Guitar at Oklahoma State University, where he teaches applied guitar and works with students in jazz and commercial music. Reichert holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from DePaul University and maintains a private teaching studio, developing instructional materials for guitarists at all levels. In recognition of his creative work, he was named a Luminarts Jazz Improvisation Fellow in 2022 and, in 2025, received a South Arts Jazz Road Grant and the Metro Regional Arts Council Next Step Fund.
Reichert has collaborated with artists across the jazz and improvised music spectrum, including Ana Everling, Russ Johnson, Geof Bradfield, Lenard Simpson, Ethan Philion, Devin Drobka, Alyssa Allgood, Jimmy Farace, Johannes Wallmann, Tony Barba, and John Christensen.
