Isaiah Spencer is an acclaimed jazz and blues drummer, heavily rooted in the distinct Chicago jazz scene. Known for a drumming style that critics have described as "propulsive, fiery, and incendiary", he is a versatile bandleader and an essential collaborator for legendary ensembles. He has toured and recorded with avant-garde jazz titans such as William Parker, Ernest Dawkins, Guy King, and saxophonist Isaiah Collier.

Arcana is a self-described "weirdo four-piece brass band" and jazz quartet based in Chicago.

Formed by talented local composer and arranger Joe Clark, the group subverts traditional New Orleans brass roots by blending original jazz fusion and clever counterpoint with eclectic covers (ranging from traditional second lines to TV show themes like The Munsters)

Chase Wilkins - Drums

Chicago-based drummer Chase Wilkins brings a straight-ahead, swinging approach to the

music, rooted in tradition but with his own perspective.

Wilkins has shared the stage with the likes of Jeremy Kahn, Clark Sommers, Ron Blake, Reggie

Thomas and Ernest Dawkins. He has played at some of Chicago’s premier venues including The

Jazz Showcase, Evanston SPACE, and Winter’s Jazz Club.

Wilkins has studied with a number of respected Chicago drummers, including Isaiah Spencer,

Charles Heath, George Fludas, and Ernie Adams. He currently attends Northwestern University,

under a full-ride scholarship, where he studies with Willie Jones III and plays in ensembles led

by Derrick Gardner.

Wilkins can be heard on recordings with Alfie Jackson (The Peacocks) and Sam Robinson

(Chasin’ The Dream).

Step into the dark side of autumn for an evening of spooky jazz standards, haunted melodies, and songs with a touch of mystery and magic.

Featuring Ghost of a Chance, Haunted Heart, Witchcraft, Old Devil Moon, Autumn Leaves, Autumn in New York, and other great standards, performed by the Andy Brown Trio.

Andy Brown is one of Chicago’s busiest and most respected jazz guitarists, known for his deep connection to the tradition of “old-school” jazz guitar. He has performed and recorded with many of the leading jazz musicians of his generation, including Howard Alden, Scott Hamilton, Ken Peplowski, Harry Allen, and Warren Vaché. He has also released several acclaimed recordings, including Good Atmosphere and Soloist, and has performed at festivals and venues throughout the U.S. and internationally.

Level 4 is a jazz organ quartet that plays jazz standards and original jazz compositions. Each member contributes originals and arrangements. Level 4 explores a wide variety of rhythmic grooves and harmonic shapes. The band is: Tim McNamara, saxophones and flute; Tim Davis, drums and cymbals; Chuck Tripp, guitar; and Steve Million, Hammond organ. Level 4 is four veteran Chicago players who’ve been together for 2 years as Level 4, but who’ve been playing together in various combinations in Chicago and Kansas City (to name a few places) for far longer. Level 4’s concept is to groove, listen, and interact!

Each player has an extensive history of performances (detailed in each bio) with jazz legends at various clubs in Chicago, Kansas City, and Boston and beyond, as well as multiple performances at legendary Jazz Festivals – Chicago, Montreux, Montreal, to name a few…
